Audit New Zealand’s Executive Director, Steve Walker, introduces our 2020 information update video series. He also talks about the implications of the Covid-19 situation for auditing in the public sector. He outlines some of the factors public sector organisations will be thinking about as they work on reporting in the current environment.
Before taking up his position as Audit New Zealand's Executive Director, Steve Walker was based in New York as the Director of Operations for the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC). Steve began his career in 1987, when he was employed by Audit New Zealand as a bursar while studying for his degree. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant early in 1993.
