Hear from Ron Warmington – Monday 5 May
Audit New Zealand invites you to our upcoming client event on Monday, 5 May. The event will feature Ron Warmington (pictured), a renowned forensic accountant and co-founder of Second Sight in the UK, now in New Zealand.
Ron played a crucial role in uncovering the truth behind the Horizon IT scandal, highlighting the importance of integrity and accountability in corporate governance.
The theme of this event will focus on integrity and the significance of accountability.
It will be a hybrid event, commencing with a light breakfast at the Audit New Zealand offices from 7:30 a.m. This will provide an opportunity to network with staff from Audit New Zealand, fellow clients, and Ron Warmington before his presentation.

Observations from our audits of councils’ 2024-34 long-term plans
Thank you to everyone who attended our client event earlier this month, where Andrew McConnell and Henry Broughton from the Office of the Auditor-General discussed their recent report examining 32 consultation documents and 58 long-term plans audited between June and October 2024.
They led an engaging discussion on the report's key findings, highlighted the role of audit in ensuring transparency and accountability, and explored what these insights mean for decision-makers.
